What Is Sandbox?

Sandbox is a testing environment, where users can test all Zendo features and settings, including payments, without worrying about cluttering the real workspace or using real credit cards. Additionally, it has its own demo content with examples of productized, custom, and subscription-based requests, clients, and team members.

How To Enter Sandbox?

When you log in to your workspace for the very first time, you'll see a pop-up window asking you whether you want to go to your workspace or to the Sandbox. Select "Go to Sandbox" to go to the test mode or "Continue to workspace" to skip it.

At any other times, you can go to Sandbox by selecting the "Go to Sandbox" button on the left side-panel. You can switch between your workspace and Sandbox anytime you want with no consequences whatsoever.

The sandbox will be deleted after seven days of inactivity. After that, you'll have to sign up to a new Sandbox.

How To Connect Stripe In Sandbox?

To test payments without providing your real credit card or exchanging real money, you can connect test card numbers provided by Stripe.

To connect Stripe in Sandbox:

Select Workspace from the left side-panel and choose the Finances tab from the drop-down menu,
On the new page, switch to the Payment methods tab,
Select the "Connect" button.

Next, you'll be taken to Stripe's test mode, where you can either log in to your account or make a new one. Follow the instructions to finish the setup,

Note that none of the data you provide has to be real.

Now, whenever you want to make a mock payment while paying for services, enter one of Stripe's testing card's number (eg. 4242424242424242).

As long as you can see the "Test mode" badge, you can stay assured that no payments will be made for real.

How To Use Sandbox?

You can create your own services, set up your Service Catalog, and then roleplay selling services to make sure your setup makes perfect sense.

To do that, you'll need to make a client account directly on Sandbox. To make a new account, go to [your workspace name].zendo-sandbox.site and select "Sign up" in the top right corner.

Tip: to avoid creating new email accounts for each new client, use an alias, for example: youremailaddress+alias@gmail.com.

Demo Content

You might also notice premade content in the form of Requests and clients like Sheldon Cooper or Obi-Wan Kenobi. You can go through that content to learn about most crucial Zendo functionalities and then delete them all at once when you're done.

To delete demo content:

Select Workspace from the left side-panel and choose the General tab from the drop-down menu,
On the new page, make sure that you're in the Essentials tab,
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the "Purge workspace" button,
Select it to delete all content, including your own.

Note that purging your workspace disconnects your Stripe account.

How To Leave Sandbox?

To go back to your workspace, select the "Back to workspace" yellow button on the left side-panel.
