Subscriptions
Subscriptions are services that can be bought on a regular basis in a defined billing cycle. To find them, select the recycle icon found on the left sidebar. There, you’ll find a table with all subscription-based requests and the following information:
Name: name of the request as submitted by the client and underneath, the name of the subscription,
Client: avatar and the name of the client that submitted the request,
State: informs you of the subscription-based request's stage. The States are: Trial, New, Active, Payment error, and Canceled.
The "New" state will appear if your client submits a request, but doesn't complete the checkout.
Price: the cost of the subscription-based request per a billing cycle,
Started: the date of request's submission,
Next Payment: the date of the incoming payment,
Request limits: the number of active, pending, and active requests, along with their limits,
Ends on: the date when the subscription ends,
Actions: by selecting the ellipsis on the far right, you can choose to create request for a selected subscription, cancel subscription, go to requests, and go to invoices.

To create a new subscription, select the “Create service” button next to the heading.
Alternatively, you can go to Services by selecting the box icon found on the left sidebar. There, in the Overview tab, you’ll find a “Create service” button next to the heading. Select it if you want to proceed.
On the new page, you’ll be able to switch between four different types of services: Productized, Subscription, Custom, and Free. To learn more about different types of services, read this article.
Make sure that the Subscription type is selected.

In the General tab, enter the name for your subscription service. Character limit is 60 characters and it can include special characters as well as emojis.
Here, you can also choose what should the default billing cycle for the subscription service you're creating be. You can choose the default billing cycle to be:
Weekly
Monthly
Quarterly
Yearly
None
Choosing the default billing cycle means that the prices on your subscription packages will be showing as calculated for that billing cycle. For example, adding a monthly and yearly billing cycles, but choosing monthly as the default option results in the yearly prices being calculated per each month.
You can add multiple billing cycles with different prices for each of your subscription packages.
Longer-commitment billing cycles usually come with better offers, which you can showcase to your clients by ticking the show percentage discount option. That way, your clients will see how much they can save, choosing the longer subscription package.
In the Packages section, you can create up to 25 variations of your subscription service. To create a new package, select the plus button next to the “Package 1” tab. A new package will appear right next to the previous one.
To copy a package, move your cursor over to the package you want to copy and wait for two new icons to appear. Select the one representing new pages. A new package with the same name will appear right next to the copied one.
To delete a package, move your cursor over to the package you want to copy and wait for two new icons to appear. Select the one representing a trash can. Your package will be deleted instantly.
Name (required): enter the name of the package. Character limit is 60 characters and it can include special characters as well as emojis.
Description: describe your package in 1000 characters or less for the Service Catalog. You can format the text by using bold and italics, include a link, create a bullet and ordered lists, and add a blockquote.
Free trial: toggle the button to offer a free trial for your clients for this specific package. This action will prompt a new field to appear, where you can enter the number of days of the trial.
Note that only one trial per service applies. Even if you set up free trials for all the packages, your client will only have the free trial once.

Package highlight: toggle the button to distinguish this package from others on the Service Catalog with a gray ribbon. This action will prompt a new section to appear, where you can add ribbon text and tick the "Add an accent color" box, which will accentuate the package even more with your chosen accent color.
Enable pausing subscription: toggle the button to make it possible to temporarily suspend a subscription on behalf of the client. This action will prompt a new field to appear, where you can also choose, whether your clients can pause their subscriptions themselves. To learn more about pausing subscriptions, read this article.
Billing cycles: choose how often you want to be paid between a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly billing. By checking one of the boxes, new fields will appear, where you can set prices for each billing cycle. This means that you can set several different billing cycles simultaneously.

Sale price: check the Enable sale prices checkbox located next to the billing cycles to set a sale price for each of the billing cycles you've added. You can edit and add the sale price in each package, even if a given package has already been purchased. That way, you can easily offer discounts for your subscription-based services.
Requests limits: set limits for how many new requests your clients can submit for this subscription by toggling the button. New fields will appear:
— Max number of completed requests: set the limit for how many requests you can deliver within this subscription service by entering a number. If the number is lower than the max number of concurrent active requests, you’ll build a queue.
— Per…: use the drop down menu to set how often the limit should reset for all the options. You can choose between a week, month, quarter, or a year.
— Max number of concurrent active requests: set the limit for active requests that can be within this subscription service by entering a number. If this number is lower than the max number of completed requests, this limit will take precedence.
— Total number of concurrent requests: set the limit for active and pending requests that can be within this subscription service by entering a number. If this number is lower than the max number of completed requests or the max number of concurrent active requests, this limit will take precedence.

If you leave these fields empty, the number of completed, active, and total requests will be unlimited.
Note that once a package from your subscription-based service has been purchased by a client, it limits how much you can edit the bought package. In that case, you can change the package's name, description, free trial period, and highlight options. To fully edit the package, cancel all the subscriptions associated with it.
Packages that haven't been subscribed to can still be edited fully.
Currency: disable or enable this option to include tax support for any percentage-based tax. To learn more about supported currencies, read this article.
To set tax value, go to Finances → General settings. which you can read more about here.
Collect payment (single select): choose how you want to collect your payment. At the moment, only one option is available: up-front.
Default method of payment (single select): choose how your clients will pay for this service. At the moment, only one option is available: Stripe.
Issue an invoice: you can choose whether you want:
— to never send an invoice,
— the invoice to be issued automatically right after payment.

In the Order page tab, you can enter part of the URL link to the standalone Order Form of this individual service. The character limit is 255 characters.
Note that your clients won't be able to access the rest of the Service Catalog from this link.
Show this Service on the Service Catalog: toggle the button if you want to show or hide this specific service on the Service Catalog. This action will prompt new fields to appear.
Service thumbnail: upload an image that will appear on the main page of the Service Catalog. Allowed formats are JPG and PNG, while the dimensions can't exceed 2560x2560 and the file shouldn't weigh more than 1MB.
Service short description: enter a description of your service that will appear under the service thumbnail. The character limit is 500.

Service image: upload an image that will appear next to the Order Form. Allowed formats are JPG and PNG, while the dimensions can't exceed 2560x2560 and the file shouldn't weigh more than 1MB.
Service description: enter a description of your service that will appear under the service image. The character limit is 1500. You can format the text by using bold and italics, include a link, create a bullet and ordered lists, and add a blockquote.

Divider: you can use it to better divide the Order Form into sections or group the fields better,
URL/Link: you can ask your clients to paste a link to external sites or resources,
Single select: you can ask your clients to choose one option out of several,
Multi select: you can ask your clients to choose many options out of several,
File upload: you can ask your clients to upload any necessary files.

Workflow: choose which workflow should be applicable to this subscription service’s requests. This will define what happens after a request has been submitted. To learn more about Workflows and how to create one, read this article.
